It goes without saying that a lady is truly known to be the angel of the house and thus would you be able to disappoint the heavenly attendant? In this context, a survey has been conducted wherein 80% of the respondents are married out of 85% of the home buyers who took the survey. The topic of the survey was ‘would you prefer to consider a woman’s opinion be it your spouse, sibling or mother before buying a house? And the maximum count of the respondents laid stress on the need for cooperatively made decisions in conjunction especially when the concern is ‘real estate’. But is it the only reason or not, let’s figure it out:-
Priyanka Notaney, a sales executive with a chief Pune-based developer’s firm says,
“Regardless of the possibility that the man pays, the lady is the major decision maker especially when the house comes for end-utilization. And if a man comes to look through the brochures and contemplate a purchase, in such case majorly he brings his wife along as needless to say women in some way are able to conceptualize the interiors and layout much better.”
Sakshi Vasudeva, who works with IIM-Bangalore says, “Women are no more bound to homes. There is a considerable measure of exposure to individuals, lifestyle and the spending capacity is likewise keeping pace. Families nowadays are less rigid and realize the fact that ladies can add to genuine discussions too and it is no-brainer that their decisions do matter.”
Deepak Kudale, proprietor, Kudale Properties who believed that ladies are considerably more outgoing in the real estate domain as compared to the scenario in the previous decade. Not just a hitched lady gets involved in such decision making; single ladies also are taking such financial decisions in their step as well. “A majorly good count of home buyers is such who register their property jointly or in the name of their wife for tax benefits. Even single women or widows are buying properties, financing the entire purchase on their own, though the proportion is small. And the reason behind this is that they are well placed in context of their jobs and finances.”
But how easy it is for a lady to buy a home? Vasudeva recalls, “At times you are certain to come across such brokers who will pitch the house on the grounds of the finer details only (like interiors, spacious kitchen, dimensions of front room etc). However when it comes to infrastructure in the area or varied taxes they react like, ‘madam ap apne husband ko bhi bula lo, vo samjhenge.’
Additionally, they felt like a man was in a position to make better and speedier choices or may have expected that the finance for the property might be coming from a patriarch,” Chuckles Vasudeva adds. Furthermore, while a small proportion of ladies are out there midst realty without anyone else, others are as much a piece of this significant choice. That is indeed the truth of ladies in realty. Real estate is no more pretty much a man’s dilemma, choice or money.
